It’s getting spooky in Syracuse! What better way to celebrate the lead-up to Halloween than with concerts, shows and movies on and around campus? The Universe has you covered!
October 13-15:
Redgate’s Friday the 13th
When: Oct. 13, 10 p.m.
Where: Address available via DM to Redgate on Instagram
Price: $7 presale, $10 at door
Ancient Spaceship and Sounds by Feem, The Cage’s house music DJ, will rock Redgate’s first spooky concert of the year.
University Union’s Kickback Comedy
When: Oct. 14, 5:30 p.m.
Where: Schine Underground
Price: Free!
University Union’s Performing Arts Board will host its first event of the year: The Kickback Comedy. The show will feature student comedians Julia DiCesare, Brendan Tierney, Elizabeth Crandall, Macy Aiken, Owen Taylor, Ronan Mansfield, Sam Baylow, Tim Wong and Zoe Best.
Megalodon
When: Oct. 14, 9 p.m.
Where: The Westcott Theatre
Price: Starting at $20
Megalodon, a dubstep group, will be joined by special guests NESRA and Horton on Saturday at the Westcott Theatre. With millions of plays on Soundcloud and YouTube, Megalodon will be sure to bring the fun to Westcott with his unique mixing style and bass music collaborations.
Jazz Jam
When: Oct. 15, 3 to 5 p.m.
Where: Funk ‘n Waffles
Price: Free!
Students can dine and jam at Funk ‘n Waffles, which will host its weekly Jazz Jam session on Sunday.
A Boogie Wit da Hoodie: ME VS MYSELF THE COLLEGE TOUR
When: Oct. 15, 8 p.m.
Where: Upstate Medical Arena at the Oncenter War Memorial

A Boogie Wit da Hoodie is returning to Syracuse this Sunday for the first time in five years as part of his “Me vs Myself: The College Tour.” A Boogie has become a fan favorite hip-hop artist, gaining 20.9 million followers on Spotify with top hits like “Drowning (feat. Kodak Black)” and “Secrets.”
October 20-22:
Dave Attell
When: Oct. 20 at 7:30 p.m., Oct. 21 at 7 p.m
Where: Funny Bone Comedy Club
Price: $40
Stand-up Comedian Dave Attell is bringing the laughs to Funny Bone. Attell is best known for his show “Insomniac” on Comedy Central.
Redgate at the Lost Horizon feat. Laundry Day
When: Oct. 21, 9 p.m.
Where: The Lost Horizon
Price: $15
Laundry Day is back at Redgate’s third show at the Syracuse venue, The Lost Horizon. Laundry Day most recently performed at Redgate and Phi Kappa Theta’s WalnutPalooza in April. Pop Culture and GUNK! Will join Laundry Day, with free transportation provided by Nick’s Tomato Pie Shuttle.
“John Wick Chapter 4”
When: Oct. 21-22, 8 p.m.
Where: HBC Gifford

University Union will present “John Wick: Chapter 4,” an action blockbuster starring Keanu Reeves at HBC Gifford.
Gamer Rave
When: Oct. 21, 8 p.m.
Where: The Song & Dance
Price: $15
Dress in your favorite video game cosplay and dance to EDM and theme song remixes by DJ Host North Star! There will also be a costume competition with a cash prize.
October 27-29:
Rocky Horror Picture Show
When: Oct. 27 at 6 p.m., Oct. 28 at 5:30
Where: The Palace Theatre
Price: Starting at $25
“Let’s do the Time Warp Again” at the Palace Theatre’s annual showing of the “Rocky Horror Picture Show.” The interactive event, which includes the band and the movie screening, will feature sprayed water, thrown items and loud noise. There will also be a costume contest with cash prizes.
Zach Williams
When: Oct. 27, 7-9 p.m.
Where: Mulroy Civic Center
Price: Starting at $26
Zach Williams, a Christian singer, will perform at Mulroy Civic Center after his concert was rescheduled from October 29, 2022. Williams was also the lead singer of Brothers of Grace.
Orange Appeal’s Spooktacular
When: Oct. 28, 7 p.m.
Where: Hendricks Chapel

Syracuse University’s a cappella group, Orange Appeal and Groovestand, will perform at OA’s annual Spooktacular concert.

brakence, a hyperpop artist, will perform at Syracuse’s The Song & Dance as part of his North American Tour. He will be joined by guest and artistic engineer Gabby Start.
